Father's Day Competition 2010

Please make sure to become a "liker" of the Andrea Drake Photography facebook page,
to get your first point for this competition before you enter.

The winner will be announced there on Sunday, 15.August 2010,10am, as well as on this blog.

If you use my brand new "Reviews" tab on facebook to leave a comment about my work, you will get an extra chance to win :-) !

Get a friend to become a "liker" on my facebook page, and you'll get another point !

I will also give 3 extra points to the 5 best comments about why the dad in your family is special.

And if you go the extra mile and put it in a poem, there's another 1-3* points !! :-)

All competitors with the highest score will go in the draw for this prize - if there is one entry with more points than any other, they will be the instant winner.

The session must be held on Saturday, 21.8.2010 from 9-10 am ( or alternatively during the week of 16.-20.8.), so I can get your photos done & delivered  in time for Father's day. Please don't enter if you can't make it that day/week.

The competition is for an outdoor session at a location of your choice in/around Picton, Rarangi, Blenheim or Renwick. Should it be too cold or rainy on the day, we will have to find a spot indoors ( or reschedule if during the week...).

The session is for members of one family, and can include mum and any children that belong to the family, or adult children who would like to give their dad a special present.

Entries close Saturday, 14.8. at midnight.

HAVE FUN !! :-)

* 13.8.2010: Please note that I will give points from 1-3 for poems now, as people are getting into sending short and sweet ones :-) , as well as longer poems with a lot of thought and creativity gone into them. I just think it's fair this way, don't you ?!

And  as you know the competition has been extended and now closes at midnight, Saturday 14.8.2010 !

Jed - newborn

And another adorable tiny newborn - sometimes it makes me really sad to meet all these perfect new little souls and going home to an empty nest. But then again I feel so privileged to be invited into all these wonderful peoples homes to capture the first fleeting moments in their babies life - and life is good again !
Jed was no exception, I fell in love with him straight away...

Holly - newborn

And this is wee Holly, who you saw snuggly getting ready for the world in Aimee's tummy in my first blog post. She was so good for me, sleeping like an angel through her whole session, and left all the protesting and fussing for poor mum later on. She's a beautiful wee baby girl, and looks so much like her big brother Zac when he was that tiny !

Oscar - newborn

I absolutely loved my session with wee Oscar. He was such a little character at only a week old and has the most adorable little smile. This is such a fantastic age to photograph newborns !

Autumn Sky - newborn

Gorgeous wee Autumn was already six weeks old when I met her for her newborn session and there was no way she would let me curl her up into any of the cute newborn poses anymore :-) But she did give me some lovely relaxed sleepy shots and was such a little sweetheart. I can't wait to see her again for her 6 months session !!

Arhan & Taylor

Wee Arhan came to visit his cousin Taylor all the way from Kuwait the other day and the two of them became best mates immediately. Total cuteness !
